I grew up in Tacoma
and attended Washington State University
I played basketball for the Cougar freshman team in 1971-72. After graduation, I worked at Seattle First National Bank while attending night school at Seattle Pacific University and the University of Washington. However, my entrepreneurial spirit led me to start my own business in the Tri-Cities in 1977, where I also met my wife, Kathleen, of 39 years.
We moved to Spokane
where I began a career in real estate. Over 36 years, I managed offices for several major firms before founding my own enterprise in 2013. I’ve had the privilege of serving as chairman of the Steering Committee and on the Government Affairs Committee for the Spokane Association of Realtors.
In addition to my professional work, I served five years on the City of Spokane Plan Commission, volunteered on the local board for L’Arche, an international organization dedicated to serving developmentally disabled adults, and co-founded Charlie Mike Veterans Pathways to support the veterans community. I’ve also coached youth sports, starting as a baseball coach in Tacoma in 1972, and continuing through 2016 in Spokane, primarily in basketball and football.
I’ve given talks on Mental Conditioning to high school sports teams in Spokane and California, and I’m currently writing my first book. I also completed my first half-marathon in May.
My three adult children
attended Gonzaga Prep.
Two of my sons graduated from WSU, and my daughter Aly graduated from the University of Idaho. One of my sons is an Army veteran, having served in the Middle East and Ukraine, while my oldest son currently serves in the Air Force. I’m also a proud grandfather of 3 1/2.
